
Ramakrishnan is a former career banker turned entrepreneur with over three decades of diverse experience across Banking, Financial Services, and Strategy Consulting. His journey bridges operational depth, investment acumen, and entrepreneurial energy—embodying "an operator's mind, an investor's precision, and a founder's restlessness."
He spent 18 years in Infrastructure & Logistics Finance, Merchant Banking, Fixed Income, and Corporate Treasury, including serving as Business Head of a strategic unit at a leading Indian private bank. Later, he co-founded a Microfinance NBFC, acting as Director and CFO, shaping its foundational operations.
Over the past 13 years, Ramakrishnan has been an active Business and Strategy Consultant, advising startups, SMEs, and NBFCs. His philosophy—"think like a strategist, question like a researcher, build like a founder"—reflects in his work on business planning, capital structuring, valuations, and fundraising.
Select accomplishments: 1. Lead M&A advisor for four companies, including cross-border transactions. 2. Due diligence advisor for over 30 startups on behalf of VC funds. 3. Advisor to management teams in NBFC and Fintech sectors. 4. Independent Director in an ESG & Sustainability Ratings firm. 5. A passionate clean-energy evangelist, Ramakrishnan works at the intersection of capital, compliance, and climate. He advises on green energy transitions, fundraising, and regulatory strategies. His latest venture focuses on Asset Life Cycle Management for SMEs driving energy transition, leveraging his strong network of industry partners and service providers.
He holds postgraduate degrees in Financial Management and Commerce and is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore.
